HOBRA, Residência artística Holanda Brasil, 2016
HOBRA foi um projeto que reunia artistas do Brasil e da Holanda em uma experiência colaborativa. Fui convidada para ser a residente brasileira da área de design. Junto com o designer holandês Yuri Veerman, desenvolvemos em 2 semanas o projeto de um oráculo. Naquele momento estávamos as vésperas da votação do impeachment da presidenta Dilma Rousseff e a incerteza do futuro político do país foi nosso ponto de partida. Começamos com um questionário online que perguntava: “como você vê o Brasil no futuro?” e pedia dados sobre o perfil do entrevistado. Queríamos que essas respostas virassem um banco de dados que pudesse ser consultado como um oráculo. O primeiro formato pensado foi fazer um website que sorteasse uma resposta para o usuário e revelasse o perfil de quem deu a resposta. Com o desenvolvimento do projeto, achamos que as respostas eram tão ricas que deveriam ser apresentadas em conjunto. Então surgiu o formato final de performance aonde o oráculo era vivido pela atriz Marya Bravo e um coro formado pelos cantores líricos respondiam suas previsões com contrapontos. A musicista Emma Rekers foi nossa parceira na composição das linhas melódicas do coral.

Artistic Residency Netherlands Brazil, 2016
HOBRA was a project that brought together artists from Brazil and the Netherlands in a collaborative experience. I was invited to be the Brazilian resident from the design field. Together with the Dutch designer Yuri Veerman, we developed in two weeks the design project of an oracle. At that moment we were at the threshold of President Dilma Roussef's impeachment vote, and the uncertainty of the country's political future was our starting point. We started with an online survey asking: "How do you see Brazil in the future?", and asking also for the interviewee's profile. We wanted these responses to become a database that could be queried as an oracle. The first format we thought of was to make a website that would randomly draw a response for the user and reveal the profile of the one who gave the answer. With the development of the project, we felt that the responses were so rich that they should be presented together. Then came the final performance format, where the oracle was lived by the actress Marya Bravo and a chorus formed by lyrical singers answered her predictions with counterpoints. The musician Emma Rekers was our partner in the composition of the choir's melodic lines.
